Supplier Management Adviser - 12 month FTC

We are currently recruiting an exciting opportunity within our Resilience and Process Improvement team, as a Supplier Management Adviser. Working alongside the Supplier Management Manager, this role will be responsible for training and upskilling relationship managers within the business, enabling them to become self-sufficient in their supplier management responsibilities.

The Role

The Supplier Management Adviser will be responsible for ensuring that relationship managers adopt their supplier management responsibilities and will build monitoring tools to demonstrate evidence of this. For example, you will demonstrate performance in:

  • Onboarding suppliers in line with the process accurately
  • Exit planning documentation and conversations
  • Operational Resiliency testing plans and tests carried out and recorded
  • Annual due diligence
  • Regular performance review meetings and records
  • Overall ability to manage all elements of supplier management in a timely and accurate way and demonstrate the discipline to sustain this as a BAU activity.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have strong stakeholder management skills, with an ability to build trust and credibility quickly. Supplier management experience and a proven ability to influence change is essential. You should be a confident communicator with good organizational skills and an ability to meet tight deadlines within a changing, complex environment. A knowledge of financial services and business continuity management experience is desirable.
