Interim Payroll Assistant

Hays are partnering with an expanding support services organisation based in Colchester to recruit an Interim Payroll Assistant. The role involves responsibility for salaried and monthly payroll and would be an imperative part of the finance function for the team.

You will be reporting to and working with the Payroll Manager providing support for operational queries relating to payroll.

Your main duties would be to:

  • Verify payroll data by making sure to change any discrepancies, maintaining an accurate record.
  • Input data onto spreadsheets using Excel and assist with all internal/ external audits
  • Calculate additional expenses and holiday payments
  • Assist with any queries escalating when necessary
  • Prepare monthly reporting on any payroll costing to the wider business

An ideal candidate would have:

  • Strong Excel skills and accuracy
  • Great communication and attention to detail
  • Payroll experience and knowledge of legislation
  • Availability to start as soon as possible
