Sales Manager

Reed are delighted to be working with a leading organisation in Ipswich, who are seeking a Parts Sales Manager to join their team. With up to £50,000 on offer, our client are seeking an experienced individual from a Sales background, has proficiency with ERP systems, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage selling prices of spare parts and accessories to meet financial targets.
  • Collaborate with dealers to identify and share best practices in part ordering, promotions, and pricing.
  • Engage directly with dealers and distributors to develop opportunities for increased parts sales.
  • Lead a team of customer service representatives to ensure timely and accurate responses to customer queries.
  • Oversee Despatch Administrators to ensure orders are dispatched and invoiced within service level agreements.
  • Utilise KPI metrics to measure, monitor, and coach team performance, converting data into actionable workforce plans.
  • Maintain and improve operations by monitoring system performance, identifying and resolving problems, and managing improvement programs.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Manage relationships with delivery companies to offer competitive delivery options.
  • Work with Warehouse teams to enhance process efficiency and customer service.
  • Lead proactive projects to prevent future issues.
  • Develop training resources for dealer staff on system usage.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for data interpretation and insights sharing.
  • Proven leadership and people development skills.
  • Experience in a customer services/sales environment is advantageous.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional service and understanding dealer, distributor, and end-user needs.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects under pressure.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (ideally SAP), Power BI, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
