About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Maths Teacher to join our team in a Pupil Referral Unit. This role is a full-time position with a temp to perm contract, offering an excellent pathway to a permanent role after successful completion of the initial contract with Academics. The pay rate is highly competitive, ranging from £675 to £1000 per week, depending on your experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to students in the PRU.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting positive learning experiences.
- Work closely with other staff members, including support staff and therapists, to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
- Monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
- A genuine interest in supporting students with diverse educational needs.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and resilience in challenging situations.
