Contract: Full Time Salary: £28,000 Contracted Hours: 40

Established in 1997 as the first manufacturer of sushi for the UK supermarket industry, Taiko has evolved into the most innovative manufacturer of Sushi, Food To Go, Prepared Meals and Snacking products in the UK, supplying Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury's to name a few. Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first to market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK.

As a Senior Warehouse Admin at Taiko Foods, you will oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure smooth operations. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy and managing records of warehouse transactions. Your expertise will help optimise efficiency and contribute to the overall success of our logistics and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise warehouse staff, providing training and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conducting regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely processing and documentation.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations.
  • Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and sales, to streamline operations.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on warehouse activities, inventory levels, and discrepancies.
  • Identify areas for improvement in warehouse processes and implement best practices.
  • Assist in developing and implementing warehouse policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in warehouse administration or logistics, preferably in the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management software and warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Process production orders, contacting production/suppliers where necessary to clarify requirements, to ensure that accurate data has been included for planning and forecasting.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure deliveries are on track for scheduled delivery dates and quantities.
  • Prepare, maintain and publish up-to-date logistics schedules to inform all relevant parties.
  • Validate and ‘sign off' received GR's to ensure stock is received on time in full.
  • Collect and collate relevant data and format concisely and appropriately to make it presentable to the customer and suppliers.
  • Collate, complete and file delivery paper works and invoices to create an accurate audit trail.
  • Enforce safety and health regulations within the warehouse environment.
  • To become Fire warden and First Aider when required.
  • Be flexible to assist with other jobs within Warehouse department as required.
