Our retained client is seeking a creative head chef for their traditional pub in the Essex countryside. They are easily accessible from Chelmsford and Maldon areas. The venue has a 60-cover restaurant with outside seating in the summer months.
The role
Your main responsibilities as Head chef will be to successfully manage the kitchen operation, working with the owner in developing fresh new menu ideas in keeping with the modern British/Traditional English style using fresh produce from local suppliers. You will also be in charge of GP's Rotas and mentoring the existing team.
Ideal candidate
You must have at least 12 months experience at head chef level, be passionate and a born leader. The head chef will need to mentor his existing brigade whilst keep calm under pressure as the venue can be busy in the summer months.
