Finance Director

We are seeking a Finance Director for a well-established and rapidly growing UK based beverage manufacturer. This company is known for producing quality beverages supplied to UK retailers and third-party brand owners worldwide.

Due to accelerated growth and ambitious expansion plans, they are looking for a high calibre, commercially minded Finance Director to join the executive board and support their growth strategy.

As a key member of the leadership team, the Finance Director will oversee all financial aspects of the Group's businesses. This includes shaping financial strategy, planning, and managing the financial operations of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the finance function, including maximising working capital, managing cash flow, debt, investments, capital expenditure, and forecasting to maintain the organisation's financial health.
  • Ensure a disciplined and efficient month-end process that produces accurate and timely management information and key performance indicators for the business.
  • Mentor and develop finance and IT team members to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and procedures to enhance automation and efficiency.
  • Supervise the production of the monthly group consolidated accounts and the submission of statutory accounts. Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes.
  • Report on the financial performance of the group companies at the monthly board meeting and coordinate the production of the Board pack.
  • Lead financial analysis and provide insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with all areas of the business to ensure investments deliver sustainable and profitable growth.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, manage audits, implement risk management systems, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead financial activities for any associated mergers and acquisitions ventures.

Skill Set and Experience:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (UK).
  • Demonstrable experience in Financial Control, Commercial Finance, and FP&A.
  • Experience in a finance leadership role within a food or drinks manufacturing business. Proven experience in the UK spirits industry is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyse complex financial data and drive informed decisions.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing financial strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Proactive commercial business partner with effective influencing skills and a demonstrable track record of adding value.
