  • Hours 8.30-5.00

We are looking a diligent Crime Billings Administrator to join a successful multiservice law firm based in Dartford. It's an excellent opportunity to work in modern environmental and become an integral part of the crime billings team.

You will be part of a dynamic and growing team responsible for billing all criminal defence cases from their network of offices across the country. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the billing team whilst working collaboratively with the accounts team.

About the role:

  • Reconciling Accounts, General ledgers and Lettings accounts
  • BACS sheets/post BACS
  • Checking files that need to be billed, chasing outstanding info required on the crime billing files and then mark for closing once completed
  • Chasing outstanding payments,
  • Preparing invoices and coordinating payments
  • Assisting with both internal and external billing queries
  • Sorting and filtering of post and emails
  • Accurately scanning and filling/chasing missing documentation
  • Completing pre-billing file checks
  • Dealing with offsite cost draftspersons, allocation of claims and tracking of claims
  • Provide cover and support for other members of the team when required

You need to have:

  • Experience in Partnership for Windows (Ticketing System) preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Polite and professional telephone manner
  • Proven experience in an administration role
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • High level of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Able to work on own initiative and also as part of a wider team
  • Ability to cope with tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office suite
