Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Learning Mentor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in observing, supporting, and enhancing the educational experience of children aged 0-5. This role involves conducting detailed observations across all age groups, planning and implementing small intervention groups, and working closely with our team of educators to create an engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observation and Assessment: Conduct regular observations of children across all age groups (0-5 years) to monitor and assess their development and learning progress.
- Intervention Groups: Design and implement small intervention groups tailored to meet the specific needs of children, helping them achieve their developmental milestones.
- Individual Support: Provide one-on-one support to children as needed, ensuring that each child receives personalized attention to aid in their development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the nursery team, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's learning and development.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of observations, assessments, and interventions for each child.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities and stay up-to-date with best practices in early years education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
- Proven experience working with children aged 0-5 in an early years setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development and early years education principles.
- Excellent observational and assessment skills.
- Experience in planning and implementing small intervention groups.
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
