A

Quality Control Inspector

is required by a University of Oxford spin-out who has developed disruptive engineering technology within their industry. This company has already raised significant funding which has resulted in rapid growth and product optimisation with a new site opened locally and branching out into new global markets.

Due to this continued growth, they are now looking for a

Quality Control Inspector

to be responsible for quality control within the production environment, inspection of incoming goods, booking into the company MRP system, and quality control of our outgoing products. This is varied role which has the potential to develop and grow into becoming a Quality Engineer.

About you:

The

Quality Control Inspector

will need to possess the following experience or skills:

  • Fully experienced with all inspection/measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, thread gauges, shadow graphs and hardness testing equipment.
  • Fully experienced in reading and understanding engineering drawings.
  • Conversant with materials certification.
  • Experience with MRP systems to control both conforming and non-conforming stock.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure, especially in situations where quality requirements may conflict with production demands.
  • Work to high standards of quality, within a strong safety culture and a good working knowledge of QMS ISO9001:2008 desirable.
  • Capable of working with tight deadlines and multiple deliverables.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Good numerical and literacy skills.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications and email.

Our client offers a competitive salary, £32,000pa to £38,000pa plus benefits, which includes a company contributory pension, death in service insurance, 25 days annual holiday plus public holidays.
