Science Technician

- Salary Range: £13.43PH
- We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to join our team from September onwards. The ideal candidate will support the science department in a dynamic educational setting, ensuring that students and staff have the resources they need to conduct scientific experiments safely and effectively.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Preparing materials and equipment for science lessons and experiments.
- Ensuring that laboratories comply with health and safety regulations.
- Assisting teaching staff with demonstrations.
- Maintaining and repairing equipment and apparatus.
- Managing chemical and biological supplies, including storage and disposal.
- Supporting students during practical science activities.
- Conducting inventory checks and ordering supplies as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A strong background in science, with a relevant qualification
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a laboratory setting.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
