Job Description - Learning Support Assistant:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students' learning and development. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support to students with diverse needs, helping them to achieve their academic goals and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities - Learning Support Assistant:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
  • Support individual students or small groups with their learning and development.
  • Help create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster strong relationships with students, promoting confidence and independence.
  • Assist with the emotional and social development of students, ensuring they feel safe and valued.
  • Contribute to the creation of a supportive classroom atmosphere.

Learning Support Assistant Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting (desirable).
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or a related field (desirable).
  • Basic understanding of special educational needs (SEN) and strategies for support.
