Join Our Team as a SEN Casework Assistant!
Location: Sefton Hours: 36 hours per week Salary: £16.19 Per Hour Umbrella
Your Mission:
- Contribute to statutory assessments and EHC plans for children and young people.
- Support SEN Casework Officers to ensure SEN pupils make great progress.
- Implement changes from the Children and Families Act 2014.
- Engage and support children, young people, and their parents fully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver dynamic, outcome-focused statutory assessment services.
- Manage administrative processes to meet statutory duties.
- Act as the first point of contact for queries, providing accurate info.
- Ensure parents are involved in drawing up statements/EHC plans.
- Provide sensitive support to parents, reducing the need for disputes.
- Prepare for legislative changes and improve assessment processes.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date paper and electronic records.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in local government, education, or the voluntary sector.
- Strong understanding of SEN and current legislation.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in ICT, with skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Resilient, motivated, and able to work independently.
