Cover/Supply Teachers

Salary: £120 - £160 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cover/Supply Teachers to join our team and support a range of primary and secondary schools across Wokingham and Reading. This role is perfect for qualified teachers looking for flexibility in their work schedule or newly qualified teachers looking to gain more classroom experience. As a Cover/Supply Teacher, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of education during teacher absences, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning is maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering Lessons: Teach pre-planned lessons to a variety of age groups and subjects, ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task.
- Classroom Management: Maintain discipline in the classroom, promoting positive behaviour and a safe learning environment.
- Adaptability: Quickly adapt to different school environments and educational settings, tailoring your approach to meet the needs of each class.
- Support Learning: Assist students with their educational needs, providing support to ensure they achieve their learning objectives.
- Collaboration: Work with school staff to ensure smooth handovers and continuity of learning.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for the role. Newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are welcome to apply.
- Experience: Previous teaching experience in a UK school setting is preferred but not essential.
- Flexibility: Ability to work on short notice and adapt to different school environments.
- DBS Check: A valid Enhanced DBS check registered with the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to clearly convey instructions and foster a positive learning environment.
