  • Salary Range: £44,149 - £49,054
  • Location: Exeter or Weston Super Mare - 2 days onsite per week
  • Job Type: Permanent, Hybrid (minimum 2 days in office)

Are you an experienced IT Vendor Manager seeking a new challenge within a dynamic IT Operations team? We are looking for a professional to manage vendor relationships and ensure service excellence within our evolving IT landscape.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to prepare purchasing, tender documentation, and contract documents.
  • Manage all commercial aspects of the supplier relationship, ensuring contractual obligations are met and remain suitable throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Establish and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Operational Level Agreements (OLAs), security arrangements, and performance targets.
  • Oversee the contract review and renewal process, engaging with key stakeholders to ensure contracts are appropriate.
  • Lead the supplier selection process for new business solutions/services, ensuring strategic alignment and effective transition into live operations.
  • Create financial overviews for Tier 1 vendors, monitor spend against budget, and identify cost optimisation opportunities.
  • Implement a vendor management plan for performance management and service improvement.
  • Increase awareness of vendor management by defining and implementing a communications and stakeholder management plan.
  • Deliver quarterly balanced scorecards for updates and analysis of vendor relationships.
  • Develop and implement a commercial and contract management toolset to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the ITIL framework, ideally certified.
  • Experience in onboarding suppliers and managing IT suppliers, including those like Microsoft/Dell/ERP software providers.
  • Proven experience working with Procurement and Legal teams.
  • IT security awareness and experience.
  • Experience in a similar role within the corporate sector is desirable.
  • CIPS Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations or working towards it is desirable.
  • Excellent people and leadership skills, with an effective communication style.
  • Ability to operate and present at various levels within an organisation, from the Executive team down.
  • High degree of personal motivation and initiative.
