Location: Westminster/ Hammersmith and Fulham/ Kensington and Chelsea
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract Type: Full-time

About Us:

At Engage Education, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional education and support to students with a wide range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and other complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students across all age groups, from nursery to post-16.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional development of each student.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive support.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to provide regular updates on student progress and to foster a collaborative approach to education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
  • Experience working with students with a range of SEND needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, MLD, SLD, and other complex needs.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the welfare and development of each student.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and across different age groups.
