About the Role

Base Location: Perth or Aberdeen

Salary: £47,600 - £71,600 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

The PMO Team Manager role is responsible for managing complex and high value work programmes and processes within the Business Planning & Commercial directorate covering activities including:

  • Project Office - Process Design & Implementation for Large Capital Governance (LCP), Pre-gate 0 Documentation & Governance, ASP Process Implementation.
  • Responsible for line management of assigned PMO functional capability (Including: Process Leads / Project Information Officers), with ownership of development strategy for respective disciplines.
  • Develop new processes and procedures to reflect new requirements including industry reform.
  • Provide documentation control and scheduling support for all pre-Gate 0 activities and provide management progress reporting up to business case 'preferred option' investment case recommendation.
  • Responsible for ensuring adequate reporting and data controls are in place to provide effective governance, compliance and escalation when required, to manage risks & opportunities, ongoing lessons learned and clear performance reporting across all levels of the business.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • Proven track record in managing teams in a Project Office environment or teams managing large programmes of work within multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Experience in process design and business improvement skills.
  • Extensive experience in one or more of the following: Project Management / LEAN 6 Sigma / P6 Programme engineering.
  • Degree level / relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in creating data models, visualizations, and reports in Power BI; Familiarity with Power Automate for creating workflows and automating processes; Experience in building custom applications using Power Apps.
