Brake Press Operator/Sheet Metal Worker
Duties:
- Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend, form, and shape sheet metal
- Select and install the correct tooling for each job
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine the correct dimensions for bending
- Perform basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements
- Inspect finished pieces for quality and accuracy
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and cleaning
- Use hand tools effectively to assist in the production process
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in sheet metal fabrication
- Proficiency in operating press brake machinery and selecting appropriate tooling
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
- Knowledge of sheet metal properties and behaviours
- Competency in using various measuring tools
