Our client based in Hampshire is currently looking to recruit a CAD Technician. Reporting to the Lead Project Developer, you will have good AutoCAD software knowledge enabling you to complete 2D site designs considering a variety of situational factors.
Drawings required will include site layouts, drawings for submission of planning and a selection of other site-specific plans.
Responsibilities:-
- Knowledge of and ability to use AutoCAD software
- Great time management and communication skills essential
- Prioritise workload depending on a variety of factors.
- Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- The role will see the applicant assist the Development team, providing initial site layout's through to construction drawings.
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect changes in design, scope, or standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings.
- Research and recommend new processes and improvements to aid design and project development.
- Ensuring site designs are proposed and completed to the highest standards.
- Follow company policies and safety regulations for operational efficiency.
Skills required:-
- Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, great time management, able to work under-pressure
- Have good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint and OneDrive and the ability to pick up knowledge on different systems.
- Great administration skills to allow for tracking of site progress and information sharing.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about design issues.
