Job Title: Senior Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor (North)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join a leading, established consultancy with the unique chance to help grow our new Manchester-based office. You will bring expertise in social housing and residential projects, ideally within the North West, and play a crucial role in client engagement and team development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver Outstanding Client Service

  • Provide exceptional customer care, going beyond delivering quality results to become our clients' trusted partner of choice.

2. Build a Positive Office Culture

  • Contribute to a collaborative and professional environment, embodying our values and supporting new team members as we grow.

3. Drive Business Growth

  • Assist the Group Head in expanding the Project Management and Quantity Surveying team, and take part in client outreach to build new relationships in the residential sector.

4. Project Financial Management

  • Manage project fees accurately and ensure financial forecasts are met, supporting responsible business practices.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Prepare budget estimates, cost plans, and oversee tendering processes.
  • Act as Contract Administrator, prepare tender documents, manage interim payments, and conduct final cost assessments.
  • Oversee project schedules, attend client meetings, and deliver project updates.
  • Conduct site visits, coordinate project proposals, and ensure compliance with statutory approvals.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, or Project Management.
  • Professional Qualifications: MRICS or Associate RICS membership (or equivalent).
  • Strong track record in social housing/residential projects and a solid understanding of Contract Administration.
