I am engaged on a project to recruit a Software Engineering Manager to join one of the leading Healthy living brands in the UK. You'll officially be working in the Financial Services sector with access to excellent benefits and support, leading Engineering projects and teams for a company which genuinely encourages wellness and has a positive impact on people's lives.
This role is offered with hybrid with 2 days or 14 hours per week (however you wish to divide it up) in one of their main 'home' office locations; Bournemouth, Manchester or London.
Your new role
This is a technical leadership position, you will have ownership over 1 of their 4 customer journeys which are central to the businesses growth. You will have been involved in the presentation of solutions regularly to both technical and non-technical team members.
You will need to provide technical leadership, line management and coaching and mentoring and take full responsibility for all work delivered by the SW Engineering teams, ensuring delivery is on time and within budget.
You'll form part of the Engineering management team helping to champion Agile for the business (it's fast paced and reactionary). Never satisfied with the status quo, you constantly push improvements forward and happily manage upward to make progress.

What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager with 2+ years in a similar position. You may have progressed from a myriad of different backgrounds but must have enteprrise level Engineering Management experience.
We're looking for strong experience engaging with Senior Stakeholders across multiple locations and Strong Leadership of a Software Development team. You will have excellent organisation and communication skills and whilst specific technical skills are not required, the environment will be (.Net, Java, React, Angular, SalesForce).
Ideally we would like someone with Insurance or Financial Services experience for the role, a relevant degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science and definitely strong Agile/Scrum expereince.
