Through Glennon Brothers plants in Longford and Fermoy, and Windymains Timber and Troon in Scotland, we supply both the Irish and UK markets with products for the construction, pallet wood and fencing industries.

With over 100 people on our team, we specialise in the manufacture, supply and installation of Timber Frame Homes and Engineered Roof Trusses to the construction industry and also to one-off self builders.

From the moment the first Timber Frame home came off the production line, we have steadily increased our presence in the market and now hold a strong reputation within the industry for our quality of workmanship and product and professional service to clients.

The Head of Business & Operations Opportunity:

With recent investment to the tune of €15 million in a leading edge manufacturing facility the business continues to thrive & innovate to meet the demands of the industry.

As Head of Timber Frame, you will demonstrate a hands-on approach to managing and coordinating the activities of the timber frame business through the achievement of production metrics including throughput, changeover times, minimising downtime and driving ongoing improvement.

You will be required to ensure that all orders are manufactured and despatched in a timely fashion and ensure that all operational, administration, H&S and business controls are adhered to.

The role also demands a strong customer focus underpinned by sales and commercial acumen to drive business growth.

About you:

+ 5 Years' experience operating at a similar level within a timber frame manufacturing / Roof Truss facility or related construction sectors
+ Timber Frame and roof truss experience is a distinct advantage
+ Ability to build trusted relationships with key customers
+ Proven ability of managing a business at a senior level
+ Strong business and commercial acumen
+ Experience in developing and implementing strategic and business plans
+ Ability to engage with a design team to ensure manufacturing is optimised
+ Ability to engage and motivate production teams
+ Ability to work under pressure in a changing environment to support our customers
+ Passionate about meeting both Customer and Company expectations
+ Able to excel in high-pressure situations
+ Excellent organisational and leadership skills
+ IT literate
