Impression Recruitment are delighted to be assisting a business who are rapidly becoming a household name within their industry in their search for an
Assistant Accountant.
As part of the role, you will report directly to the Finance Director and will support with the day-to-day running of the management and financial accounts, business systems and processes through to production of statutory accounts; playing a pivotal role within the company as the go-to person for day-to-day finance queries. You'll also have a clear progression plan to grow into a company Accountant as the success within the business continues!
Your responsibilities as Assistant Accountant will be:
- Day-to-day running of the management and financial accounts.
- Processing invoices ready for payment.
- Reviewing sales and purchase ledgers on a weekly basis.
- Preparation of payroll ready for approval.
- Recording receipts and inbound payments and completing bank reconciliations.
- Calculation of month end / year end accounts.
- Supporting Finance Director on tasks such as annual budget setting and tracking of amendments throughout the year.
- Developing strong relationships with new and existing stakeholders.
Key skills / qualities required:
- Proven track record working within an Assistant Accountant position.
- AAT level 3/4 qualified (or equivalent).
- Experience working in a busy finance office with a variety of duties.
- Proficient Microsoft Excel skills and use of accounting systems.
- Ability to work harmoniously with range of colleagues and teams to ensure smooth running of a business.
- Ability to manage differing workloads, prioritising and requesting assistance when needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
In return the successful
Assistant Accountant
will receive a salary of
£30,000 - £35,000
