We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teacher to join a close-knit team at a school on the border of Berkshire and Oxfordshire. This school easy to reach from Reading. This is a special school providing specialist education for children aged 2—16 years with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties (SLD/PMLD) and complex needs, including ASD.
This role offers the potential for a teaching and learning responsibility (TLR) for the right candidate.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver tailored educational programs that meet the needs of students with SLD, PMLD, and complex needs.
- Engage in creative planning to effectively teach pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN).
- Work collaboratively with co-located mainstream partners across two sites to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the school's continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and other stakeholders to build strong partnerships and support student development.
