Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Location: Walsall
Salary: £25,000 - £28,500
Top of the range will be offered to a candidate with previous experience in Month End duties.
We are currently recruiting for a truly exciting opportunity in well-recognised business, based in Walsall. We are on the look-out for a candidate with previous working Transactional experience that is looking for their next step! This Assistant Accountant position will work alongside the qualified Management Accountant and has a direct view to provide training in Management Accounts duties and study support towards relevant qualifications!
Responsibilities Will Include:
- Involvement in Financial reporting for Month End!
- Preparing and posting journals for Accruals and Pre-payments!
- Balance Sheet and bank reconciliations!
- VAT returns and Fixed Assets!
Ideally, You Will:
- Have working experience in a Transactional role such as Purchase Ledger, Accounts Assistant or Sales Ledger and be looking to take the next step in your career!
- Be AAT qualified or hold a relevant degree such as Accounting & Finance!
- Be willing and excited to learn and get stuck in with any task that is past your way!
- Must be a confident user of Microsoft Excel, with the use of V-Lookups and Pivot Tables, as this will be used on a daily basis.
