Salary: circa £80,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Permanent, Full time

We are recruiting a Head of Compliance to oversee and manage all aspects of regulatory compliance, working to ensure Energy Park adheres to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the company and play a pivotal role from an early stage. As we continue to grow, you will collaborate with various departments to develop and implement policies, procedures, and training programs, and obtain accreditations to support the achievement of both our strategic goals and our sustainability initiatives.

Role responsibilities:

  • Research, interpret, and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business.
  • Develop and update policies and procedures to align with regulatory requirements and business objectives, including B-Corp, Environmental, Social and Governance standards and objectives.
  • Establish and maintain processes for identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance risks.
  • Ensure policies are effectively communicated and implemented across the business.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and reviews to ensure adherence to policies, regulations and compliance programs.
  • Address any compliance violations or issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop a culture of compliance and ethical behaviour throughout the organisation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and support the CFO with external auditors.
  • Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and filings accurately and on time.
  • Communicate with senior management and stakeholders regarding compliance status, risks, and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal audit and risk management functions to strengthen controls and processes.
  • Work alongside the Senior Management team to lead Energy Park's sustainability initiatives with the Environmental, Social & Corporate Governance (ESG) framework.
  • Support the ongoing growth and success of the business, ensuring Energy Park is a leader in their sector obtaining accreditations such as NIC/EIC Accreditation, Safe Contractors, ISOs etc

Experience/qualifications required:

  • Experience of the impact of changing regulations in the electrical sector.
  • Extensive experience in compliance, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices within the EV sector.
  • Proven experience in implementing compliance policies, procedures and programs.
  • Experience of leading initiatives for a business to obtain accreditations.
  • Expertise in contributing to environmental strategy within sustainability-focused organisations.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage teams and drive results in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior management, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
  • Experience of working in a senior role within a scaling business, with a strong understanding of the importance of compliance and risk management in relation to business success.
