You'll oversee maintenance and repair tasks, driving the delivery of a strategic Facilities Management Service that seamlessly aligns with the business's needs. The Role:

So, what will you be doing as an Facilities Management Specialist?

  • Adhere to the business Health and Safety Policy and all Company procedures.
  • Comply with the terms of your employment contract.
  • Ensure the business meets statutory compliance requirements.
  • Assist with maintenance and modifications to buildings, equipment, and assets as needed.
  • Identify and recommend solutions for recurring problems.
  • Report and correct any discovered Health & Safety issues.
  • Liaise with contractors to implement best practices.
  • Continuously review and improve job processes.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for Facilities-related inquiries and emergencies.
  • Monitor and respond to Facilities help desk tickets daily.
  • Maintain a comprehensive Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
  • Perform routine maintenance, fault finding, problem-solving, and minor repairs on machinery and equipment.
  • Complete all maintenance logs and schedules accurately and timely.
  • Manage and monitor external contractors, ensuring satisfactory completion of work.
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks, inspections, and take corrective action.
  • Perform minor building repairs and modifications to minimize risk or inconvenience.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality maintenance procedures.
  • Report all infrastructure breakdowns and significant issues promptly.
  • Liaise with contractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
  • Support Facilities, Health & Safety, and Environment functions as needed.
  • Undertake additional tasks assigned by your line manager within your capability and grade.

What are we looking for in our next Facilities Management Specialist?

Essential

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or a relevant apprenticeship qualification.
  • Knowledge of Facilities, Health, Safety & Environmental legislation, statutory compliance, and best practices.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively monitor and meet performance deadlines.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
  • Proficiency in using PCs and Microsoft software.
  • Valid driving license.

Desirable

  • Forklift truck license.
