UK Sales Manager

We are recruiting for a UK Sales Manager for a manufacturer and global leader in their field. Reporting to the Group Sales Director you'll be responsible for developing the UK sales team, coordinating sales operations, and implementing sales techniques that allow the business to meet and surpass its sales targets. They are responsible for developing key growth strategies, tactics and action plans across the product portfolio.

As a UK Sales Manager, you will need to have/be:

  • Proven experience of full P&L accountability within a B2B and B2C sales role (5 years+) is essential
  • Previous experience of managing and developing a UK-wide sales team is essential
  • Can provide key examples of growth in revenue through winning new business
  • Able to work both strategically as well as being sales focused
  • Persuasive communication and negotiation skills
  • Structure approach with demonstrable experience of comprehensive sales reporting
  • Build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Manage a team and have the confidence to coach and develop
  • Ability to communicate, inspire and motivate
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and good people management skills
  • Excellent time management skills to maximise their ability to reach goals
  • Ability to identify, recruit and hire talented sales professionals
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Details:

  • Salary: up to £55, 000 + OTE, Car, fuel card
  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours Monday - Friday
  • Location: Solihull and field based in the Midlands
  • Duration: Permanent

Role of UK Sales Manager:

  • Produce a comprehensive UK sales strategy document and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
  • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing sales teams and by assessing the teams strengths and weaknesses
  • Analyse and report the sales team performance against budget and personal targets.
  • Manage and motivate the Sales Team to a high standard, managing performance
  • Establishing productive and professional relationships with key personnel in our larger partner accounts
  • Partner with key customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Present sales performance, analyses, trends and opportunities on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Consistently monitor the marketplace and identify opportunities for growth to compete with competitors
  • Work with Marketing to manage advertising campaigns in line with client needs
  • Network and attend webinars and events when necessary to drive brand awareness
  • Providing reports of field sales success and communicating the Voice of the Customer (VOC) internally
  • CRM (Prospect) training and monitoring to aid with performing research and identifying new potential customers and new market opportunities.
  • Conduct annual Personal Development Reviews (PDR).
  • Review monthly reports and collate to produce overall report to the Sales Director.
  • Deliver Continuous professional development of the field sales team.
  • Ensure the sales teamwork within the company's procedures and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the internal sales team so that, customer quotations, orders and enquiries are always handled promptly.
  • Contribute to the team performance by sharing and implementing Best Practice Ideas.
  • Create financial and statistical tools and reports using spreadsheets.
