Salary: 30,000 -£33,000

Macmillan Davies are delighted to be recruiting for an HR Advisor to join a renowned sports and luxury retailer at the forefront of the industry.

For this role we are seeking an experienced HR Advisor with a strong ER focus to join the wider People team where you will be supporting a dedicated business area, in this case Head Office functions acting as first point of contact for queries regarding any HR issues, supporting with employee relations and generally supporting managers by providing first class advice and guidance.

This would be a great opportunity for, not only an experienced HR Advisor but also a super confident HR Coordinator/Assistant who is already supporting with employee relations, looking for the next step to HR Advisor.

Please note this role will be based at the flagship Head Office site 5 days per week in Nottinghamshire and there is no travel required in this role.

More about the HR Advisor Role:

  • Supporting the HR Business Partner (HRBP) through the provision of generalist, proactive support on a range of employee relations issues
  • Providing an efficient service for employees requiring guidance, help and advice in respect of Company policies and procedures and Employment legislation
  • Creating a positive employee relations approach; supporting, coaching and upskilling Managers to fulfil their people management responsibilities
  • Providing operational support and advice on employee relations matters; such as disciplinary, grievance, appeals.
  • Supporting with redundancy consultation processes and TUPE when necessary.
  • Proactively dealing with absence management; assisting with the identification and resolution of problematic cases and long-term sickness issues, monitoring KPIs and trends to propose preventive measures

Skills & Experience You'll Require:

  • Proven track record in a similar ER/HR role
  • Experience of handling ER cases including disciplinary and grievance, appeals, absence management and redundancy
  • Resilient, flexible, assertive, and confident in approach
  • Excellent stakeholder, people and change management skills
  • Good analytical and systems skills
  • Customer focused approach
  • Problem solving ability in a fast-paced business
