We have a fantastic opportunity for an Estimator to join our team with Lovell's East Anglia region based out of our Norwich office.

Reporting to the Chief Estimator, you will join a growing team of passionate and dedicated Preconstruction professionals, providing commercial support to the estimating team throughout the region all whilst forming and developing relationships with PQS, Design Team, Supply Chain and the internal project teams.

We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for the project at hand, whilst also being able to work within a fun and hardworking team environment. Your duties will include:

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications and project documents.
  • Ensuring all work produced is accurate, high quality and meets the requirement of project briefs.
  • Carry out Land appraisal permutations and cashflows to enable the consideration of best value options.
  • Be able to work within a team environment or standalone on bids.
  • Present net cost estimates at bid adjudications, highlighting risks and opportunities for the business.
  • Be aware of changing market conditions and ensuring cost basis & data are kept up to date.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of staff and helping where required
  • Ensure recommended subcontractor bids are compliant & in accordance with Lovell site requirements.
  • Carry out site visits on new opportunities and existing developments
  • Be Client focussed by understanding key project requirements and meeting their drivers.
  • Work within Lovell procedures and promote Lovell Way Standards at all times

Candidates will have previous experience within a similar role, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Previous experience of Estimating software, including ASTA, Evaluate and COINS would be advantageous, however are not essential.

You must hold a current driving licence which is essential for the role.
