Supply Chain Manager

Seeking a talented Supply Chain Manager to join a fast-paced global manufacturer, you will be focusing on supply chain, production planning and purchasing processes with a core objective to drive operational excellence.

The candidate will be a part of the UK Management Team reporting to the Board. You will need to be proactive, analytical and a strategic thinker, and have a global mindset.

Located in Powys, this is an onsite role, Monday to Friday 08:30am – 5:00pm.

Salary is competitive plus company benefits listed.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
  • You will need strong analytical skills and be able to confidently review and frequently analyse data to provide accurate and timely production and supply forecasting.
  • Manage all production planning and associated requirement for the business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance supplier relationships.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and mitigate risks through the Supply Chain.
  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize supply chain efficiency, have knowledge of Customs and Container programs.
  • Manage a team of professionals with the designated team
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain performance.

Qualifications:

  • CIPS, or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, or related field or Qualified by experience, minimum 5-10 years' experience.
  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management
  • Minimum 5 years + with a strategic global mindset.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting supplier partnerships.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software, Excel and Inhouse MRP systems.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Experience of managing a small purchasing team and can successfully lead and mentor individuals to maximise productivity and cost saving results.
