Full-time permanent role

We have an amazing opportunity in Gillingham for a Validation Engineer to work for a company creating premium fuel systems, electrical systems, and industrial applications, with over a century's worth of expertise and innovation.

Responsibilities for the role of Validation Engineer

  • Act as the dedicated calibration and test system configuration support for on-site test & validation
  • Understand customer project development requirements and configure test & validation systems accordingly
  • Build up and maintain a test and validation facility configuration library
  • Plan and prioritise system configuration requirements on appropriate test facilities to meet project team and project objectives
  • Keep test facility calibration and software up to date versus project status and aligned with the test
  • system-specific modifications required to ensure operational capability
  • Manage datasets, database and version control to comply with retention and IATF16949 audit compliance requirements

Skills and Experience required for the role of Validation Engineer

  • Must have experience working with FIE calibration
  • Will need excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information at the management level
  • Will have significant product knowledge of FIE components and systems
  • Ideally educated to a minimum degree level in Automotive, Mechanical or Software Engineering, Science, Mathematics or similar
  • Some experience in calibration, software, or system development and validation experience in a powertrain development environment would be useful
  • Some exposure to mechanical and/or electromechanical components and electro-mechanical products would be very advantageous
