Reed Education is seeking a dynamic MFL Teacher to join a secondary school in Lancaster. The role requires a strong knowledge of the curriculum, effective communication skills, and a dedication to creating an engaging learning environment. This is an immediate start position for the right candidate who is ready to inspire students with a passion for languages.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Delivering high-quality language lessons to students at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being advantageous.
  • Creating a stimulating classroom environment that fosters learning and student engagement.
  • Preparing lesson plans, materials, and activities that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
  • Assessing and recording student progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school's language department.
  • Participating in school events and activities related to the language curriculum.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent relevant experience teaching MFL at KS3 and KS4, with KS5 experience being an advantage.
  • Excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Reliable, committed, and able to act as a good role model for students.
  • Good interpersonal skills, punctuality, patience, and confidence when working with children.
