About the Role:
Academics Crawley is currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in the Crawley area to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking science department committed to delivering engaging and high-quality science education.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach General Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to specialise in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. Experience teaching Key Stage 5 is welcomed but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver well-planned, creative, and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing clear and constructive feedback
  • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and independent thinking
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives
  • Participate in staff development and wider school life, including parents' evenings and CPD events

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
  • A strong academic background in a science-related subject
  • Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching science
  • Effective behaviour and classroom management skills
  • A commitment to high standards and continued professional development
