Position Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the classroom, working closely with teachers to provide both academic and pastoral support to students. You will be an integral part of the learning process, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help.
  • Help to create and maintain an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
  • Assist with classroom management and organisation, ensuring a safe and productive learning space.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within a secondary school setting. You should possess strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. An understanding of the needs of students with diverse learning abilities is essential.

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school is required.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
