Reed have partnered with an exciting business looking for a dedicated and experienced Credit Controller to join our Accounts department. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring the timely collection of overdue cash and managing old debt while upholding our credit policies. You must be proficient in both English and Spanish and have a strong background in credit control.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Contact customers to follow up on late payments and resolve payment issues.
  • Manage designated areas/postcodes, ensuring adherence to company payment terms.
  • Monitor customer payment patterns and maintain accurate credit ratings.
  • Handle order releases or holds in line with Credit Control procedures.
  • Address communication delays and assess customer payment capabilities.
  • Manage customer credit ratings, ledgers, and debt owed.
  • Develop and oversee payment plans to expedite debt clearance.
  • Escalate late payment issues as necessary for appropriate action.
  • Resolve incidents and queries to facilitate prompt payments.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers, adhering to company credit policies.
  • Request and update insurance cover on customer accounts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be fluent in speaking Spanish
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a credit control environment.
  • GCSEs in Maths and English at grade B or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is essential.
