Vehicle Technician
- Hourly Rate: £18.75 - £19.75 plus monthly tool allowance

We are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Vehicle Technician to join our team. This is a secure, challenging, and rewarding role where you will work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining and repairing the Council's diverse fleet of vehicles and plant. Day-to-day of the role:
- Carry out repair and maintenance tasks on the Council's fleet of vehicles.
- Conduct thorough inspections, taxi compliance tests, and MOTs.
- Ensure that service schedules are adhered to and that vehicles are maintained to a safe and legal standard.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a busy vehicle workshop environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognised industry apprenticeship (IMI approved or equivalent).
- Possession of a Category C driving licence with entitlement to drive rigid vehicles.
- Proven experience in a busy vehicle workshop setting.
- Knowledge of grounds plant and machinery is advantageous but not essential.
