Reed accountancy have recently partnered up with a large law firm who are looking to add an accounts assistant to their team on a permanent basis.
The right candidate will possess previous experience similar to the following and be in a position to hit the ground running following training.
This is a hybrid role and will offer working from home.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily banking tasks, including bank reconciliation.
- Monitor cheque runs and other cashier/treasury reports related to client-to-office accounting transactions.
- Assist with month-end procedures.
- Process automated and manual payments via BACS.
- Handle ad hoc financial reporting.
- Address inquiries from fee earners and other staff members.
- Provide support for the Finance helpdesk mailbox.
- Desired understanding of SRA rules.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a finance team handling high transaction volumes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently within established boundaries.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and numerical abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to collaborate with individuals at various levels of responsibility.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Excel.
Desirable:
- AAT or equivalent qualification.
- Familiarity with Solicitors Account Rules.
