Learning Support Worker

  • Salary: £25,000 per annum FTE + £500 joining bonus
  • Location: Adult Day Centre in Cranleigh (specific location to be provided)
  • Job Type: Full-time/Part-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm; part-time - 3 or 4 full days per week)

Redd Education are on the lookout for a talented LSA to join our dedicated team, where you can make life-changing differences for autistic adults. This role is ideal for patient and caring individuals who are passionate about supporting the development of knowledge and skills that enhance wellbeing, independence, and social inclusion.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide support, care, and teaching to autistic adult learners, both individually and within small groups.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons and activities that support skill development.
  • Implement behaviourally based support strategies to encourage positive outcomes.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, promoting hygiene and independence.
  • Facilitate participation in social, leisure, and educational activities within the community.
  • Support access to work experience and employment opportunities.
  • Monitor and track learner progress, ensuring the effectiveness of support and teaching.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A driving licence or access to transportation (due to the centre's remote location).
  • Experience working with adults or young people with disabilities (professional, personal, or voluntary).
  • Comfortable managing challenging behaviour and providing personal/intimate care as needed.
  • Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
  • A strong passion for helping others and an interest in learning disabilities.
