People & Culture Lead

Are you ready to level up your skills and make a positive impact that lasts? We have a fabulous opportunity for a dynamic People & Culture Lead to join our innovative People Team.

You will play a vital role in fostering a culture defined by excellence and accountability. Your role will be dynamic, covering a wide range of responsibilities such as employee relations, learning and development, recruitment, EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion), and Wellbeing.

You'll operate across the college as a true people generalist, committed to delivering excellence in both compliance and employee experience.

Technical and People Skills

  • To excel in this role, you must possess a CIPD qualification or be actively working towards one.
  • You must have experience of working in a HR generalist role competent in disciplinary, grievance, change and absence management.
  • You must have experience of identifying opportunities, solutions report writing and HR systems.
  • You must have restorative and emotional intelligence skills, strong communication and written skills: being able to engage, connect and inspire others.

Key areas of focus

These include: Employee relations management, learning and development, developing culture and employee experience through EI and CQ, supporting the development of high performing teams, supporting the implementation of a new HR system, increasing people management capabilities, and ensuring systems of work are efficient, effective and consider EDI, ESG, ethics, and sustainability by design.
