Do you LOVE coffee?! This is a perfect opportunity for a Barista to join a premium flagship London location!
They are looking for a Barista to educate customers on brand, product, and drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills and knowledge of all thing's coffee and coffee machines. Ultimately, you'll ensure an excellent drinking experience for guests.
As Barista, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining excellent customer relations and constantly striving to improve customer service
- Operating cash registers, preparing and/or serving food and beverages
- Completing daily cleaning schedules and carrying out other cleaning duties as required
- Carrying out all work with a customer focused attitude, providing excellent customer service with a proactive work ethic
- Giving customers drink menus and answering their questions regarding the coffee, brand, and ingredients
- Taking orders while paying attention to details (e.g., preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
- Preparing beverages following recipes & serving beverages and preparing food for serving
- Receiving and processing payments (cash and credit cards)
- Keeping the bar area clean & maintaining stock of clean mugs and plates
- Checking if brewing/machine equipment operates properly and reporting any maintenance needs
- Complying with health and safety regulations
We are looking for a Barista who has the following skills and experience:
- Previous work experience as a Barista or Waiter/Waitress is key
- Hands-on experience with coffee machines and related brewing equipment
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- The ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate to South Kensington before starting work (required)
As Barista, you will be working 42 hours per week, including some weekends.
