International Financial Controller

This role is pivotal, providing extensive autonomy, leadership, and responsibility within a successful and established brand. As an experienced Qualified Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive management accounting service and producing accurate and relevant financial information for both management and statutory accounts.

As a key member of the Finance Team, you will deliver effective financial support, ensuring that stakeholders and business units receive reliable, precise financial data of the highest quality and clarity.

Key Responsibilities

  • :Ensure the accuracy of financial accounts
  • .Maintain precise ledgers and produce timely balance sheets and budget forecasts
  • .Address and resolve audit queries with group auditors effectively
  • .Prepare statutory entity accounts post-Group yearend, ensuring key reconciliations are completed accurately and on time
  • .Generate monthly statutory cash flows with clear analysis against forecasts and previous years, adhering to deadlines
  • .Perform detailed operational and mathematical checks for budget and forecast statutory cash flows to guarantee accuracy
  • .Produce and analyse weekly/daily cash flows for Group funding tracking, explaining variances in weekly Group cash reports
  • .Monitor and report significant stock movements or risks
  • .Oversee the financial accounting, systems, and process integration of new businesses, supporting analysis and decision-making for new ventures
  • .Implement processes and controls to ensure the accuracy of financial and management accounts for new businesses
  • .Provide guidance on the accounting treatment of financial transactions

.Requirements

  • :Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with around 5 years of post-qualification experience, specializing in financial accounting and accounting standards
  • .Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to manage staff at all levels and resolve individual issues
  • .Strong ability to interpret, document, and improve business dynamics, processes, and systems
  • .Excellent data analysis skills, capable of interpreting and presenting complex data to inform business decisions
  • .Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact credibly and persuasively with key stakeholders and teams across the business, including Board members
  • .Strong commercial insight
  • .Advanced IT skills with experience in various financial accounting packages and Excel
