Prime Function

To provide a specialist tenancy solutions service within the communities team, focusing on early intervention, regular contact, positive interventions, and making a difference to customers and communities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the case management of antisocial behaviour, hate crime, domestic abuse, and tenancy fraud to ensure safe and secure communities.
  • Deliver a service that emphasises contact, intervention, and positive impact on customers and communities.
  • Support local partnership arrangements and strategic housing functions of local authorities, collaborating with MPs, councillors, and key partners.
  • Develop proactive relationships with partners such as police crime commissioners, crime and disorder partnerships, local authority enforcement agencies, community safety teams, dog warden services, noise teams, and operational policing units, focusing on positive local outcomes.
  • Work in partnership with agencies to ensure sustainable communities; support and safeguard customers to sustain and manage their tenancies with an early intervention and prevention ethos, referring to support and advice services.
  • Provide support to customers and complainants by safeguarding or signposting.
  • Draft witness statements, progress cases to court, develop files, and attend court.
  • Provide support to customers during the legal process, ensuring accessibility and a support package during legal proceedings.
  • Support the Communities Team in delivering a local and responsive service.
  • Signpost and collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure excellent services are provided.
  • Provide support and advice to other teams and departments as necessary.
  • Promote and lead by example on equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Education and qualifications

Educated to A level standard or equivalent professional experience of housing and neighbourhood management services GCSE in English.

Experience Detailed understanding of operational housing law and ASB, and neighbourhoods and community agenda.

Experience of working in a customer facing role Essential Experience of case management.

Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

Strong interviewing skills, able to review reports, interpret and corroborate information, excellent attention to detail

Strong customer care skills Experience of working for a housing organisation or public service

Track record of achieving excellent results for customers and the business

Ability to produce high quality correspondence and legal documents in plain English for a wide range of audiences

Excellent IT skills and fully competent and conversant with Microsoft Office applications
