Band Saw Operative (Nights)

Location: Stockport

Shift: Nights (22:00-06:00, Sunday to Thursday)

Training Shift: Rotating Days (06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00, Monday to Friday)

Salary: £11.84 per hour during training, £13.53 per hour once on nights.

We are currently recruiting a full time permanent Band Saw Operative on behalf of our client in the Poynton area. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wanting to upskill and join a long standing team and company that offers great benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate band saw equipment efficiently and safely
  • Handle materials and ensure precise cuts according to specifications
  • Maintain equipment and perform routine checks to ensure optimal operation
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure production targets are met

Requirements:

  • Experience operating a band saw (preferred)
  • Experience operating an overhead gantry crane (preferred)
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Basic knowledge of measurements
  • Manual labour experience (essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
