We're excited to announce that we're seeking an experienced Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to join our team based in Sittingbourne.

Our IDVAs play a vital role in providing top-quality support to victims of domestic abuse. You should excel as a team player and be adept at swiftly addressing risks and meeting the needs of service users.

You'll be there for individual clients, helping them recognise the features and dynamics of domestic abuse in their situation, and supporting them as they work to regain control of their lives.

A formal qualification such as IDVA is preferable or a willingness to undertake IDVA training. You'll have the opportunity to continue your learning to develop your skills as an IDVA.

You'll have sound knowledge of current legislation both criminal and civil relating to domestic abuse including data protection and confidentiality, as well as a good understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on adults and children, including how to use legislation and best practice to safeguard them. Experience in adopting a trauma-informed approach is essential to your client work.
