Finance Assistant – Newtownards
Permanent | Full-Time | Site-based | £26,000 - £28,000 per annum
REED Accountancy is delighted to be partnered with our client, an established FMCG company in Newtownards, in the appointment of a full-time Finance Assistant to join their team.
The successful Finance Assistant will be working as part of a small team within accounts, and reporting to the General Manager and Company Accountant, you will be responsible for the accounts to Trial Balance stage.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Management of daily banking
- Online banking, checking, posting and reconciling
- Management of the ledger at month-end
- VAT Returns and assisting with making tax digital
- Month-end reconciliations
- Listing and maintenance of Pricelist
- Updating information on company website
- Invoicing
- General office administration as and when required
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Thorough working knowledge and understanding of the accounting function
- Strong administrative and organisational skills and a responsible attitude
- Strong IT skills with advanced working knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with staff and suppliers at all levels
- Experience using Sage 200 or similar
