My client, a not for profile company based in London, is seeking to hire a Senior Bookkeeper on a permanent basis to join their busy team.

The salary for this role is £35k - £45k per annum.

Senior Bookkeeper

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join a not-for-profit organisation based in London. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with UK copyright law.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including processing financial transactions, recording receipts, and maintaining general ledgers.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with UK copyright law, particularly in relation to financial transactions involving intellectual property rights.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Oversee payroll processing and maintain accurate records of employee compensation and benefits.
  • Utilise SAP software to manage financial data and generate reports.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a not-for-profit or similar organisation.
  • Proficiency in using SAP software for bookkeeping and financial reporting.
  • Thorough understanding of UK copyright law and its implications for financial transactions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and organised financial records.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
