Associate Relations Specialist

Are you passionate about creating a positive work environment where associates can thrive? Our client, a leading organisation in Waltham on the Wolds, Melton, is looking for an Associate Relations Specialist to join their team. As an Associate Relations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing advice and support to line managers, associates, and P&O Business Partners on a range of associate relations (AR) issues.

£220 per day

3 month assignment

Waltham - on site parking - please note this location is very remote so you will need to have your own car and drive

What you'll do:

  • Partner with line managers to provide advice and support on performance improvement, conduct issues, grievances, sickness absence, and workplace concerns.
  • Conduct thorough, fair, and objective AR investigations aligned with our client's Five Principles, Associate Concept, and legislative requirements.
  • Coach line managers on the performance improvement process and documentation.
  • Interpret and provide recommendations on AR policies and processes to line managers and P&O Business Partners.
  • Collaborate with the AR Manager on complex, high-risk situations.
  • Proactively manage case management levels to ensure timely responses and manageable workloads.
  • Participate in case review meetings to identify trends and initiate actions as required.
  • Collaborate with P&O Business Partners to identify and drive required AR interventions.
  • Develop the capability of line managers and P&O Business Partners in handling people issues effectively.
  • Provide support on organisational change initiatives.
  • Partner with legal counsel on employment issues.
  • Active participation in AR projects and initiatives.

What we're looking for:

  • Ideally CIPD qualified and educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in Human Resources and Employee Relations.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong conflict management and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in case management and data analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high case load.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to build trust with associates and line managers.
  • Willingness to travel to other UK site locations for meetings and stakeholder interactions.
