An established organisation has announced their intention to start their search for a Junior Finance Business Partner! This organisation has been an established part of the West Midlands for a very long time and despite their longevity they have been able to remain as one of the more adaptive and intuitive businesses in their sector and in their region. In this role you will be working closely with a talented and personable team of senior finance professionals, your new colleagues will be always looking to help you with your progress and will lead by example in performing their duties to a high standard. You will be brought into meetings with senior stakeholders, and eventually as you progress you will be leading these meetings yourself. The organisation is easily accessible via rail, bus and car due to their strong transport links, just being a few stops away from Birmingham City Centre.

The aim for the organisation is for all of their mid-to-senior level employees to either be fully qualified in ACCA or CIMA, or to be actively studying. Every staff member has the foundation to study their chosen discipline, and they will then be provided study days and exam days to ensure their studies can be balanced alongside delivering a high quality of work. The role will include producing management accounts for Senior Management, this will include posting journals, completing reconciliations and producing comprehensive reports. There will also be regular meetings with budget holders, where you will be able to provide a detailed commentary and advice individuals on next steps with their finances. Skills Required

  • To be actively studying your ACCA or CIMA qualification, or to already have passed a number of your examinations in one of these qualifications.
  • In this position you will need to be confident in your abilities, you will be interacting with several individuals and providing your commentary and analysis. It is essential that you are self-assured in this role.
  • To be able to communicate in a strong and personable manner. As a Junior Finance Business Partner, communication skills are paramount, as it is an integral part of the position.
  • To have already a strong level of accounting experience, including producing management accounts, completing reconciliations and posting journals. It would be ideal if you have prior experience with budgeting and forecasting.
