  • Drive innovation and automation for business credit risk, design and lead automated strategy to expedite loan origination and renewals, ensuring compliance and risk management standards are met
  • Leverage technology to streamline and drive efficiencies across lending processes
  • Work collaboratively across the Bank (challenging where necessary), identifying and highlighting issues, breaches or control weaknesses
  • Support the Chief Credit Officer in the assessment of lending applications proposed for consideration within Delegated Credit Authorities, and where escalation to the Chief Risk Officer is required

We need you to have

  • In depth understanding and ability to interpret relevant industry/regulatory rules and guidelines
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of credit models
  • Strong experience of defining credit strategy, providing strategic input and contribution to a risk management team
  • Gravitas and credibility to positively influence and engage with Executives and Senior Managers

It's a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Experience of working within an agile environment
  • Experience of business lending, and/or developing business lending credit strategy
